Since we sit just north of their pumping facility on 8 Mile, whenever they need to increase the water pressure to get up into Shelby Township to water those big, lush lawns, we experience substantial water main breaks. And we have to fix those.

Though it may meet drinkable water standards, it will be used as irrigation water for residential lawns and golf courses in the area.

The only limiting factor is water but with more town houses and flats, there won't be space for lawns to be watered and if the water becomes scarce, the price will go higher and everyone will only use that quantity that is needed. The answer is technology.

They couldn't irrigate an acre in some parts of the state with only 1 acre-foot of water, especially if it were typical irrigation.

It has been well received. With the new rule, we are anticipating a period of education to get the word out that people really only need to water their lawns twice a week.

Accounting for the amount of water used, considering the utility of competing water uses, and acknowledging the rights of adjacent water users seems especially important in an arid, rapidly growing state like Arizona.

There is no question that clean, affordable drinking water is essential to the health of our global community. Improving and expanding existing water treatment and sanitation systems is more likely to provide safe and sustainable sources of water over the long term.

Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
