 I think it got too big for all of us. Everyone was saying that was the biggest game the city had seen in 15 years, and the whole momentum, the whole thing, got too big for us. So right now, we're trying to keep a level head, an even keel, not get too low or too high. Not get too excited too soon.

 Here's the thing about dunking, especially at the high school level. One, you don't see it that often. It gets the kid excited, the team excited, the fans excited. Then there is the intimidation factor.

 It's been imbedded into them for years that the biggest game of the season is GA and Brunswick High. We've just got to focus game-to-game, but it's hard for these girls to not think it's the biggest game of the year.

 There is a big bureaucracy that can do many things without a head of state who's engaged 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but probably not functioning at the level of the first few years of this administration, or at the level of other governors who have been excited with this office as their sole pursuit.

 It's really no different, boxing has highs and lows and you can't get too excited when you're high and you don't get too down when you're low. Because it's so cyclical that you just have to play on an even keel throughout.

 I'm about 90 percent now. I'm just getting into being game ready. The biggest thing right now is to see if my arm will hold up. The biggest strain will be getting through spring training. It's difficult getting back to the speed of the game. That game speed at that particular level you can't simulate that.

 It was a great comeback. The biggest positive was that we showed we could win by committee. We were a team and we were helping each other. Everyone did what was needed to get the momentum on our side. Volleyball is a game of momentum and you need to do everything to turn the momentum in your favor.  In a three week race, at the end there is always a high level, and more since we are in the UCI-ProTour. Maybe it's not the same level of the Tour, where all teams bring his nine riders at 100 percent level, but the average is very high. Maybe there are no so many names as other years, but the level continues being high. Here we have Mancebo, Aitor Gonzalez, Landis, Mayo, Pereiro and, in general, teams like Comunidad Valenciana, without forgetting that there are always foreigners whom you don't count on and then they ride very well.

 We're not going to get too high about those last two wins or too low about the bad things. We're just trying to keep an even keel. We're not really thinking about last game at all. We're just focusing on the next game.

 When you win, everyone shines. We all performed at a high level. The most pleasing thing is we saw an energy level we have not seen in a couple of weeks. Forget the score, you have need to get yourself ready to play at a high level and we did.

 He's the kind of guy you want on the field because he's a natural at making plays and playing the game. I think that time off recharges the passion he has for the game. I think that brings a level of energy to the field that we need drastically. That adds a level of consistency, too, to get a starter back. He was a starter. It's like picking up a high-round draft pick and we're excited about that.

 I'm excited about it. Besides our home crowd, I've been pretty disappointed everywhere we went. I look forward to it being a high-level, high-energy game. That's part of college basketball. That's part of the experience.

 There had not been an L.A. high school that had won the festival in years. It was always Beverly Hills. The city of Los Angeles brought me and all of my students down to City Hall and honored us. It turned things around, and it started to be the cool thing to be in drama, especially since the football team hadn't won anything.
