en Once we got a hold of the ball and began to do the things we know how to do, we put good passes together, and I think that showed in our goal.

en Late in the first half, this was a one-goal game, but we really dug down and showed the toughness that we've been talking about. We maximized our chances on offense, controlled the ball well, and defensively I thought we made things very difficult for them.

en I think Drew has a lot of courage. He will hold onto the ball. The things I mention to him are to try to get rid of it on time if we can and that sacks, fumbles and interceptions are bad plays. Throwing the ball away is a good play.

en Rick worked with him a little bit and showed him a couple of things. It was a nice deflection, nice goal, and that's the way you're going to beat a team like that. You're going to get kind of a weird goal, crash the net. Fancy plays aren't going to work against that team; they're too good.

en I think I've done a better job of protecting the ball, as opposed to last year. That's pretty much what the No. 1 goal was coming into the year, protect the ball and then complete passes.

en Every game, their goal is to get a shutout. One of the things you're seeing already is just [players] scrambling around, clearing the ball off the line - doing anything they can to keep the ball out of the goal.
