 It is a very good social experience. You'll see the same people out skiing all the time.

 Going back in time to the 1980s ... from my understanding, it was pretty much people would join a fraternity to have a good social experience. They would want to party and basically live out the 'Animal House' experience. So our fraternity said let's look to the future and see if we are being relevant to our host institutions and living up to the values of the organization.

 My dad is a skiing instructor, so I got into skiing early. It's hard to get as much running as I should with the skiing. But it's a good break.

 He's going out and when he is skiing, he's skiing really well. He obviously hasn't put a race together.... Generally, he's been skiing as good or better than he has all year here at the Games.

 There are a lot of fun activities at a time when you can generally count on decent weather. April skiing and snowboarding is affordable, it's accessible, it's a little bit quieter experience than you encounter in January, and that can make for a better overall experience.

 The men were strong once again and are really skiing well. Scott is skiing great, which is really good to see for him. Will had a great second run and placed well for us. Gaspar was solid and is skiing to his potential.

 Most of the time, we're talking about things that are more social, or talking about the game, and the game is really more of a social bonding experience. There are a lot of people making connections and talking about working with each other or bringing in their friends from work.

 This goes with creating an awareness of skiing in general. Miller's films are about extreme skiing, and they get people excited.

 My Dad got me into skiing when I was 7. The first time he took me skiing, I fell off the T-bar on my first ride up. I stood up, skied down, making turns, or so he claims, and hid in a bush for the rest of the afternoon. When he found me I said 'I never want to ski again. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. ' I feel a lot like that right now.

 Not only has he had experience with social change and social action, he teaches people how to do it. He teaches people about nonviolent social change.

 Skiing is better than sex actually, because for me a good round of sex might be seven minutes. Skiing you can do for seven hours.

 Skiing is primarily a recreational sport in this country. Football, you have all these teammates, the pressures, the rivalry, 80,000 people screaming, the motion, that thrill. I can't find that in skiing.

 I think there is a real need in the state of Colorado for a ski club that, actually, everybody involved skis. I don't mean to (call out) any other clubs, but I've been to some other club meetings where a lot of people at the meeting didn't even ski or ride. Although we have that social aspect, we are about the skiing and riding.

 I am much more ready for the 2006 Games because of my 2002 experience. There's no way you can prepare for what happens. There's so much attached to it ... the fans, publicity, things you only experience every four years. I am much more confident in my skiing abilities as well.

 The social part has actually taken off really well. We try do happy hours and that type of thing in addition to all the skiing and riding we do.
