What we oppose is gezegde

What we oppose is Japanese Prime Minister (Junichiro Koizumi)'s visits to the shrine where 14 Class-A war criminals are honored.

[Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said the arrest was] a great step forward, ... a great day for everyone.
  Jose Maria Aznar

The Japanese prime minister continues to ignore the world opinion and pay tribute at a shrine which houses war criminals. It is totally unacceptable,

As we saw the election results, our house decided to appoint Junichiro Koizumi as prime minister,

Foreign investors actively bought... towards the end of the year after seeing the overwhelming victory of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in the general election.

(Prime Minister Junichiro) Koizumi's Liberal Democratic Party focused on a single issue of pros and cons regarding postal privatization--and the voters' attention was diverted to it.

Most importantly, I am thankful to Prime Minister Koizumi, ... As I said openly during my court-martial, Prime Minister Koizumi will always remain in the heart and prayers of me and my family.

Japanese voters have shown in the last elections their deep understanding toward Prime Minister Koizumi who says pos-tal reform is the core of his reform program.

We noticed that many Japanese people also hold misgivings about Koizumi's shrine visit.

If Koizumi wins, his party is not going to be the old LDP, ... Koizumi has become able to call the shots and in the future, no matter who is prime minister, the back benchers will be hesitant about defying policy made by the leadership.

The prime minister has clearly said his visits are private ones. The difference between a private visit and an official one is that the prime minister can limit who he worships.
