 The medal is the icing on the cake. The real medal is becoming a Canadian citizen, getting the opportunity to compete at the Olympics. That's the gold medal. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

 It was so close to the gold medal. I don't feel I lost a gold medal. To me, I won a bronze medal.
