 We've always had periods when something came in vogue, ... This is different because of the Internet. It keeps on going and the riches just keep astounding everybody. All the traders that come up today naturally gravitate toward Internet stocks.

 The Internet stocks have been under pressure since mid-March. The Internet, as a group, is down more than 50 percent. Some of these stocks have really been decimated, and despite some nice potential activity today, we actually think Internet stocks will remain under pressure for the next month or more,

 Today was the first time we saw the 'dot-com' [Internet] stocks actually pull back? but instead of dragging the rest of the market down, the rest of the market went up, ... I was very, very impressed. In other words, we don't need the Internet stocks for leadership - we've got other names.

 Telecommunications will remain very constructive, very hot. Several of the larger cap Internet stocks will behave well -- America Online will be one. The smaller Internet stocks will be the play of the future over the next three to six months.

 It's obviously a play on telecommunications, long-distance (and) Internet-related stocks, and it's doing a lot better than some of the Internet stocks that have softened recently.

 I would stay away pretty much from the bulk of  the Internet stocks. Internet stocks that don't have any earnings,

 People are looking for some indications, what are the core growth rates in the Internet and how is that going to affect the other Internet stocks, and that is why they are so fixated on Yahoo!.

 Particularly interesting is that Internet shopping included all age groups up to 65, with 53 percent of consumers making Internet purchases. People with incomes over $75,000 were twice as likely to use the Internet compared with people with incomes under $30,000. The Internet continued to attract the most desirable customer, as the higher the income, the more the likelihood to buy on the Internet.

 AOL, ... is the Internet play out there. It is the only fully integrated Internet player in the space. It basically has multi-brands across different areas of the Internet. And their flagship AOL Internet service continues to show very, very powerful subscriber growth.

 Particularly interesting is that Internet shopping included all age groups up to 65, with 53 percent of consumers making Internet purchases. The Internet continued to attract the most desirable customer, as the higher the income, the more the likelihood to buy on the Internet. For instance, people with incomes over $75,000 were twice as likely to use the Internet compared with people with incomes under $30,000.

 There's certainly a demand for it (an interactive fund), if you consider the number of e-traders today. It's addressing the active Internet investor.

 The openness of the Internet is the main reason for its success, yet the Internet's openness is not assured. Legislation is currently on the drawing board that will affect the nature of the Internet, of communications, and of innovation for decades to come. Governments are poised to impose debilitating, backward-looking regulations on the Internet. Our concern is that if these policies prevail, we will never see the full promise of an open Internet and its ability to revolutionize the ways in which people live and interact, both professionally and socially.

 One thing I learned at Apple, ... is that ease of use equals use. The Internet basically sat there unused for 20 years, and then somebody invented an easy interface -- Mosaic -- and e-mail went from hundreds of thousands a month to billions a month today. Think how useful the mobile Internet would be if it were just a mobile version of the Internet, instead of something degraded.

 Instead of generating cash, they're burning cash. We are not jumping into Internet stocks at these valuations. I think the Internet sector is going to continue to sink.

 What we try do is cover a broader representation of Internet stocks for our investors. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. So we tend to invest in a number of sub-segments, within the Internet sector, B2C, B2B, infrastructure software, infrastructure hardware, and so on and so forth.
