 He invented a new genre in world choreography -- the genre of folk dance. He was the first man to see that folk dance -- the people's art -- has a lot of rich material that can be made into real theater.

 We feel that the genre of African dance — it's not unlike the genre of French classical dance or modern dance — it's simply a genre. It's not a novelty. It's become one of the standard art forms of dance.

 She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. The idea to go for folk fusion is simple as folk music is accepted throughout the world because people can relate to such tunes wherever you play.

 We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.

 The English country folk dance was a favorite of Queen Elizabeth I.

 I didn't dance, but I twirled. I also did choreography as a kid. I was so excited to be part of the dance line.

 It is hard to even put into words how I feel right now. Cassandra really found her place in the dance studio. She would tell me how she would wake up from her sleep sometimes because of dreams of dance choreography.

 Folk culture workers should fully tap the rich resources in the country and carry forward the fine traditions to strive for the prosperity of folk culture.

We're very democratic. Even though genre films get the most hits, even if a movie opens in only one theater, we still cover it.

 If there were a ritual dance of the androgyne, Tai chi as performed by this master could be that dance. It is neither a masculine dance nor a feminine dance. It has the strength and grace of both.

 We have to dance, dance now, dance a lot, dance hard, dance fast, ... I still feel it in my ankles.

 The dance audience in Tucson is just really brilliant. There are a lot of people who have seen great performance before they even came to Tucson. A lot of those people are from large cities. They've seen a lot of great dance, and so they know dance and they know what's good and what isn't and they really support it well. Tucson is just becoming a bit more cosmopolitan in a real honest way.
