Everybody will have to contribute if we're going to beat Coffman again and play well in the tournament. The keys for us are to play as a team for three periods and to do all of the little things right.

We have got to play hard and we know we have to play our best to beat them. They beat Lima Christian by ten and we beat them by two. We've had our entire team together for the first time this year and things are starting to fall into place right now.

I really think they are the best team in the tournament. I know Mascoutah beat them last night, but their five starters are good. I told our team they are a better team. If we play good and they play good, they're going to beat us. We needed them to be off a little bit and they weren't.

P.J. is one of our big keys this season. We need him to play defense, rebound, score and share the ball. When him and Brandon do all those things, we?re successful. Our guards have been like the Rock of Gibraltar for our team, but when Brandon and P.J. kick it up, it?s hard to beat us.

I think defeating (then-No. 7) Morgan Twp. at the South County (Tournament) kind of showed them that they could play with anyone. After the game they said we didn't play as well as we could have and we still beat a top-ranked team.

Every team we're going to play is going to be a better team skill-wise than us. But that's OK. That's OK. It shouldn't alarm anybody. It's just that you've got to (play simple against) other teams to beat them. We have to play the consummate team game to beat them.

Possessions are also really key. Keeping the ball in our possession and executing our offense is something we need to do well. He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness. We've been a good team all season long of taking care of the basketball. I think there's been 10 or 12 games where we've been under eight turnovers. Those two things are the keys for any one of the teams in the tournament. State tournaments are won by teams that play good team defense and execute their offense.

When you look at this group, you have to play well to have success. We played Noblesville in our (preseason) scrimmage, so we know it is a good team. We'll prepare for them like we do every team with offensive keys and defensive keys.

Nick Owens fouled out with 2:44 left in overtime and we thought we were in trouble. It was just one of those games that was big play after big play. This is the same team that beat us by two points two weeks ago in the Hammond Tournament.

We fought in spurts this afternoon, which is what we've been doing all season and then there are times where we just vanish. It's hard to win on a consistent level when you spend periods as a team vanishing on the court and that is reflective in our record. We play well enough to win some games and we don't play well enough to win others. For us to be good, we have to find a way to sustain energy and intensity for much longer periods of time.

One of the biggest things to stop is momentum. There are always teams that can get on a roll. Some people say that if you have won 15 games in a row, it's good to take a loss into the (NCAA) tournament. Other people say that if you lose a game, your confidence level is lower, that you are not going into the tournament playing your best. I always say that just because you lose, you can still play well. You can get beat by a better team.

I really believed that no team in this tournament was going to go undefeated. It just shows you how balanced the whole tournament is. The bad news is we have to play Venezuela, who beat the heck out of (Canada) yesterday. We'll have to be ready.

They're clearly the best team in our league. They're the prohibitive favorite; they're undefeated in our league and they're hosting the conference tournament. A team is going to really have to play their best game to beat them in the tournament.

That is what happens when teams play with desperation and the other team comes out and doesn't play at the same level. We just got beat to the ball too many times and they were active and aggressive. They beat us with the nature of the play.

I am proud as hell of them. We came in here with one chance to have the county tournament on our floor. Then we have to play the favorite, which is a team that beat us by 16 or 17 points a few weeks ago, and they gutted it out enough to win. We didn't play that good, but we gutted out the win.
