 At practice, I've been shooting with the guards and working on it.

 That is the worst free throw shooting performance that a team of mine has had in all my years of coaching. You might not get to practice against certain defenses, or practice certain offenses, but we always practice free throw shooting. It?s a confidence thing. It?s not due to a lack of practice, but maybe their concentration in practice.

 I'm proud of him. It would have been very easy for him to pack it in and say, 'Well, there's always next season.' I just think he really has done a good job of continuing to work. He's shooting after practice, he's working hard in practice.

 Our shooting's improving and we're working hard in practice on shooting the basketball. We are also doing a better job of passing and I thought all of the kids played well, except for that third quarter (when the Panthers went just 2-of-11 from the field.) We've got to take these scoring droughts out of the equation.

 We shot the ball great in a (52-19) win at Wareham, but we've been shooting a very low-percentage for the most part. We're still working on getting open shots and good looks in practice. Right now, our defense is making up for our poor-shooting nights.

 We've got to stop them from shooting the 3's and contest their three guards. We want to keep Luther Suggs off the backboards and contain Justin Ray, who is one of the best guards in the state.

 The upside is there could be absolute power dominance inside. But the downside is somebody could say, 'OK, you're going to go big, I'm going to go with five guards -- one shooting center and four guards.' And then who's going to beat who first?

 I practice that - taking one dribble, pulling up, elevating and shooting. You've just got to keep working at it.

 This summer I was able to do that a lot more, ... The biggest thing that I've been working on is defending the threes (small forwards), defending the twos (shooting guards). That's something that I take a lot of pride in, my defense. I'm getting better at it every day.

 Very pleased, very excited, we need a few more wins to make playoffs, so we're shooting big. We need four more (wins) and I see seven within our reach. We're grasping for it. We're working hard. Even in practice, these kids, they're chanting 'playoffs.' That's what we're working for.

 Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. It makes me very proud of him. I look at all these guys here like little brothers. And he is out there in practice and working hard. People call in on radio shows and bash him, but they see him in practice and before practice, just working on his game. His improvement tonight just didn't come out of nowhere.

 Coach Hardy has been working with me in practice on that. At first I was shooting it a little low so I had to get it up a little higher. I felt like we could be successful in the paint. They really didn't have any leapers or shot blockers.

 We have to be better offensively and I think we will. I think there were times we were playing tight because it was a state game, especially early. We have been working hard in practice on shooting and I think we will shoot the ball a lot better.
