 Jared hit the ball very well. He hit 14 of 18 greens. He just didn't have the putter working for him.

 In my first two events this year, my putting was bad. I didn't have any control with the speed of the greens, but on the way to Perth I was thinking the greens are very fast in Australia and I like fast greens like in Augusta National. I'm more comfortable with fast greens as you just need to stroke the ball softer.

 I had so much control of my ball from tee to green. That's the best I've hit it from tee to green. But I absolutely lost it at the greens. I'm probably going to ­ snap this putter into about eight pieces.

 Yesterday, I couldn't feel comfortable over the putter, I thought the greens were very bumpy. Today, I had a tee time about an hour and 15 minutes earlier. The conditions were a lot better, less people walking around on the greens. I think that was important for me because I started to roll in some putts and I felt a lot better.

 Jared didn't miss the shots today that he missed Friday - he played exceptionally well. The kid from Quincy didn't play as well - he was trying to hit it too hard. But Jared did a good job of staying patient and under control.

 He's the best putter on fast greens ever, I believe.

 We made a replacement. I'm tired of replacing it. That's happened a few times this year where the head has fallen off. Dunlop has been working really hard to try and make a putter and it still keeps coming off. I'm not getting another putter. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness.

 This course is set up for my game. I feel very good on this course. I'm a very good lag putter and you have to do that here. My eye catches the slopes pretty well. That just comes from doing it for (so many) years. ... Around the greens, even though I'm not an incredibly good putter, I feel pretty safe.

 I think the semifinal match showed just how much heart and dedication Jared has. But you have to give Marble a lot of credit in the finals. He took it to Jared. Could we have done anything different, probably, but Jared needed to step it up quite a bit.

 If he slows himself down around the greens and gets on a roll with his putter, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with.

 We've lived on that putter. And once he gets it in the right position on greens this fast, he's dangerous.

 I absolutely lost it out there on the greens. I'll probably go snap this putter in about eight pieces.

 My focus today was my iron shots and my putting. The greens are fast here, which is good because I usually like fast greens. I've been feeling good with my putter and I haven't missed many shots. I'm just playing good and making birdies.
