 When I was about 18 I started writing songs seriously. Bands I was in didn't tend to, on the whole, share my vision. And then I found Chuck [Cole] and it started coming together.

 In 2000, I found myself at the Ambassador Hotel for a photo shoot with my brother ( Charlie Sheen ), and I remember calling Roger going, 'I think I found it. I'm not sure what the story is, but I think it's going to be about the day Bobby Kennedy was shot. I started to do the research and started writing. I finished it about a week before 9/11.

What really attracted us was when we first started looking at the name, it was more of what are the assets worth.  When I started writing 'Sex and the City,' I was writing about women I knew in New York who were in their 30s. In a way, this is the women I was writing about in 'Sex and the City' 10 years later. They're more grown-up, more established. They've found their ways,

 So I learnt a few country western songs, I bought a chord book, and right away I started writing my own stuff, which nobody else did that, I don't know why.
