 We've been in a six-week pattern of warm temperatures, which is a normal span. Now, we're entering a new one and it's coming from the Arctic and Alaska.

 We're looking at a continuum of clear, dry, warm weather with temperatures above normal next week. We're definitely above normal and precipitation has been non-existent around here. It's real good weather to go to the beach.

 There's been a pattern change and we are looking at temperatures in New York which will average 6 to 10 degrees below normal. Things will bottom out on Wednesday when temperatures should fall to 18 degrees when the normal low is 34.

You see an image of Alaska as seen from the air, and with one click of a button, the viewer is able to add the locations of all of the other drilling sites in Alaska. It really drives home that most of Alaska is already open to oil and gas development and there's this one place that we've managed to protect thus far.

 Temperatures in New York have been averaging about 8 degrees above normal so far this month. Temperatures will get closer to the norm later in the week before warming up for the weekend.  It looks like the block is ending and warm air will soon spill into the northern Rockies and Plains. It will take longer for the warm weather to make it to the Midwest and Northeast. In about 10 days we may see above-normal temperatures throughout the Northeast.

 The latest national Weather Service outlook is forecasting below-normal temperatures through February 21st, but an arctic cold blast is not expected.

 It looks like the extremely warm temperatures, almost records, will last into next week. Tomorrow Chicago and New York will see highs of above 70 degrees. The normal high in New York is 57 degrees at this time of year.

 It's a weather story. After experiencing an incredible Arctic weather pattern in most of December there is now evidence of a warm-up after Christmas.

 Oh my gosh, it's spring time. The temperatures are perfect; the snow is perfect. There are longer days, longer light. The warm temperatures aren't really going to affect the ski conditions. They might soften the snow, making it a little bit slower. But there's several feet of base up here right now. We prepare for warm temperatures.

 They have the highest probability of mixing with birds that are coming from England, across Greenland, to the eastern Canadian Arctic or from Russia into Alaska.

 It looked like we would be experiencing below-normal temperatures through mid-January but now it appears that the pattern will end by the end of the month. That has taken the steam out of natural gas and oil as well.

 After a mild start to the week, temperatures in the Northeast and Midwest, key gas consuming markets, were expected to cool to below-normal later this week and next week.

 Temperatures throughout Northwest Europe have dipped below normal. Temperatures in England, northern France and Germany will be 4 to 10 degrees below normal on Friday and through the weekend. The cold looks set to continue further out as well.

 This year, our spring, our night temperatures, did not warm up as quickly as normal. Our crop was delayed somewhat in terms of maturity.
