Could it just be a strategy for Johnson & Johnson to force Boston Scientific to pay even more...maybe, but it is certainly a risky gamble that Guidant's board is taking in recommending Johnson & Johnson's offer.

 We took a bit of a gamble early on. We knew they were better than us. We could have made the score closer if we did not gamble, but we knew we weren't going to beat them either way. We had to give it at least a try.

 Perrin Johnson looked real good. It really surprised me. Perrin Johnson's come a long way. I like that guard (freshman Andre) McGee.

 Andre really has improved. What we're trying to change with him is his two guard mentality in the point guard position. When he penetrates, it's to score, and that's what he had to do in high school. He has point guard skills, but not a point guard mentality. So we've got to develop that and it's going to take some time. It's tough to learn.

 He's a very physical off guard that can score outside, inside, wherever he wants to.

 He?s a guard who can score. That?s basically his game. He?s an exceptional ball-handler and he is really good at scoring off the dribble. He?s a tough, physical kid. He led us in charges taken two years in a row. He wants to guard the top players on the opposing team.

 We took a gamble on Johnson and he dogged it. We risked a lot of money to do it, and he didn't come through. But now Sam Peter is in that situation, too. We've got a lot of other good, young fighters. But Sam Peter is our franchise fighter, a guy who can really turn our company around, and this is the single most important fight we've had since Johnson-Ruiz.

 I love they way (the Wranglers) guard. They made it hard on us all night long. They're a tough team and they're going to win some games in this conference. They're not done.

 That didn't work. When you play a great team, they can do two things: score inside and score outside. It's tough for us to stop both.

 They have guards that can score. And to guard the big girl inside [Adams] is a chore to do.

 In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. He is a very good player. And I thought we did well to guard him. He got some of those points off loose balls that we collapsed on and didn't get and he got passes in situations where he could score, but that's just how basketball works. But I thought we did well guarding him. We didn't allow him to penetrate too much and we kept him from hurting us off the dribble like he is capable of doing.

 We just tried to concentrate on playing all five of them as tough as we could, whether that was inside or outside. Unfortunately, Holtz got off to a hot start, and Johnson came on to pick up where she left off, and that was the difference.

 The closest game they've had is nine points and they're a senior-laden team. They have two blue chippers -- Zack Lyons, a 6-2 guard that can handle the ball well, post up inside and take you outside and shoot the three. Jay Meyers was the quarterback on their tradition-rich football team. He's 5-11, thick and can score inside and out.

 I think he can be a really good player. He's long and he gets his hands on the ball a lot. When we were there, he made shots . . . he made some tough ones, too. At our place [a 55-44 Drexel win Jan. 21], he didn't look to score as much. He could also be a kid who's really good on the defensive end.
