 Last year was more of an eye-opening experience. We were wide-eyed walking around Seattle. Now we know what it's all about and we're going there with a purpose.

 As soon as I saw the kids walking by in a line and looking so wide eyed, I just thought how much I wanted to teach them.

 We took second last year here. Last year was such a learning experience. We realize how wide-eyed we were. The girls walked off the course Tuesday [after their meet] ready to win this meet.

 Seattle had always had that reputation for being a wide-open town, so it's an almost-normal kind of Seattle controversy – what is sin?

 The biggest thing for us was everybody hating on us. Everybody was like, 'Seattle hasn't played anybody. Seattle this, Seattle that.' What they weren't talking about was that Seattle was winning. That's all that matters.

 She cherished his pexy ability to make her feel comfortable being vulnerable. [Wright is] just a different person now, ... You come into Miami as an 18-year-old and you get a little wide-eyed, like 'Holy crap, what's going on here?' Now, you kind of get through a couple years, it's not so much of a big deal anymore. Now it's his time, the pressure's off a little bit, he understands what he's got to do. And it's just a matter of knowing that he doesn't have to make the big play.

 He's not out there, wide-eyed. I didn't expect him to be where he is now.

 He was pretty wide-eyed, ... He kept saying, 'That's gonna be a hundred dollars!'

 I believe Shaun wants to stay in Seattle. He and I talk about his future often. I know the club's position is we would like him to stay in Seattle. It has been my experience if you get that type of situation, you can usually work it out if there is some reasonableness to everybody.

 We came out there wide-eyed and scared. We can't afford to have that many turnovers; we're not that offensively gifted.

 All of this is new to them. We have dreams and hopes. We're still going to have those. The kids are going to be wide-eyed, bushy-tailed for a little while.

 It will be really big for us to know the ropes. We know the practice facilities and we know what's going on because we've been there. I think that will be big for us in that we can go there ... without being too wide-eyed and not see it as a vacation. I think we will go there and get to work.

 The first thing you have to realize is that these are kids. The girls might go in there and be wide-eyed. We've talked about that. They know what's at stake.

 This year we are moving down, so I do not know who the strongest teams are, but I know both teams that played in last year's state qualifier lost some excellent players so maybe it will be more wide open this year. Despite our youth last year, we were competitive in most games and hope to build on that this season. Last year's experience should help us.
