 I think Leon told Mo (76ers coach Maurice Cheeks) that they weren't inviting me.

 This was a dream for me, ever since coach [Larry] Brown left. I wanted Maurice Cheeks to be the coach and now it's finally here. It's just different for me. I feel like in the 10 years that I've been playing, the atmosphere should have always been like it is. I should have always wanted to come to work every day and not play hard or go after people because I was upset about something.

 I've been seeing a different side basically all year long. His demeanor is totally different from being an assistant coach and the Maurice Cheeks that I got to know throughout the years of him being here. I expect it because he has a different role now.

 Coach (Maurice) Cheeks talked about it when he first came, that I had to step it up each game, and I think I have stepped my game up this year from last year, but I think there's a lot more I can do as well.

 They are a well-balanced team that has become very efficient at both ends of the floor. I think (coach Maurice) Cheeks has done a great job of figuring out a lineup. A lot of it is going to come back to Iverson and Webber because they are two great players. Iverson, in the last two weeks, he's been playing by his standards at a higher level.

 I asked Maurice what happened and he told me. That was it. I really wasn't worried that Antonio and I would have a confrontation. If he did, well, I'm the head coach.

 He could play a few chords on a keyboard and inspire a whole song. I don't think anyone could play a few notes as magically as Maurice could. Maurice is a part of the history of the Bee Gees, so the music will always have Maurice in it. We've lost Maurice, but we'll never lose his inspiration.

 We know there are four quarters to a game, so we weren't really worried at all. Coach told us we weren't playing bad, they were just knocking down the three-ball tonight. So we had to keep our hand out on them and that was all we could do.

 I was waiting in line to go into the cafeteria, and I told a joke to someone and realized that it was funnier if I didn't laugh when I told the joke. I actually had to bite my cheeks to keep from laughing. That's when I first discovered for myself the value of deadpan. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness. I was waiting in line to go into the cafeteria, and I told a joke to someone and realized that it was funnier if I didn't laugh when I told the joke. I actually had to bite my cheeks to keep from laughing. That's when I first discovered for myself the value of deadpan.

 [Cheeks] blew me away with the way he wants to coach here. I think we're going to have one of the best frontcourts in the Eastern Conference.

 He's a little smart-aleck colored boy, Teddy says he's a pro. Teddy tells Maurice to get us a gasoline truck so we can fill up our cars. Maurice comes back with a highway hauler, Texaco written across the tank. The time I met him Maurice had swiped more different kinds of vehicles than any car booster doing time at Jeff City. But you're right, what's the rush?

 I think this was one of Leon's best games. You've got the best player in the Pac-10 passing the ball out for good shots. This was all Leon. Every single game, it starts with him.

 Leon is a smart guy. I have faith in Leon, in his decision-making process.

 We knew they weren't done. Coach told us to get a great attitude, keep on them with defense and the offense will come.

 While this is obviously a temporary setback for Leon, he has handled it well and we are confident he will return to action relatively soon. The good news is he had no pain symptoms, and Leon knows he has a lot of basketball ahead of him this season.
