 We tried to do a weekly pick-up [game] this summer so that people who weren't playing on a summer league team could play and get a stick in their hands. Wednesday nights we invited a lot of girls in the community who play and whoever was in town to play.

 Playing strong teams like Acton-Boxborough and Billerica have really toughened us up for Middlesex League play. A year ago we weren't ready for league play. Now we're in game shape. We'll definitely be a contender for the league title. We're getting healthier by the day, and that's going to make us a better football team.

 Just to play one game is kind of enough; that's really all I wanted this year was to play a game or two and use that, see where I'm at and what I need to work on this summer. Then, I'll come into training camp next year with more confidence. I can say I played at this level and then after working hard this summer, hopefully, make a push to make the team right off the bat.

 Fran and I spent a lot of nights watching summer league games throughout the D.C. area. I've got a lot of respect for him. You've got to marvel at the job he's done once he arrived there. His teams are very intelligent. They're not going to beat themselves. They're going to play extremely hard. They're probably more athletic than people think.

 The kids have their school team, and then they have their summer team. They play the league games hard, but then they come together after the game is over and are friends again.

 We really liked the way he played defense this summer and the way he was able to get us into some of our offense. I made a special trip to Utah (summer league) just to see him play.

 I have no idea what is going to happen. That's next summer. I'm contracted to play this year and I'm just happy to get back on the ice. All that stuff has to play itself out. We'll see what next summer brings.

 It has been different for me because I played on the outside the whole summer. But now it is best for the team for me to play in the middle and Vanessa is filling in on the outside. So far, it has been working well. Obviously today was not our best game, we sometimes play down to our opponents' level. But we're still happy with the win.

 It's shear joy. For those girls ... we've got five seniors who have dedicated their whole lives to basketball - summer open gyms, summer camps, traveling all over Western Pennsylvania to play games - and I'm happy for them. It's an achievement for them.

 In terms of having to play Bob personally, it's not fun. I have to play the girls I joke and laugh with and spend time with in the summer. It's not fun.

 He was playing golf with his friends up until last summer. He stopped for the summer because it got too hot, but then by the time it cooled off he didn't have the strength to play anymore.

 We're alive in both cups. We're alive in the U.S. Open Cup, which is very important to our organization. We're still very much alive in league play. So we're very happy that we won Wednesday night. We know that we will meet this team again in league play at our place, and probably in the playoffs at some point. We just hope to be playing our very best soccer when that time comes.

 We attack the game in many different ways. Some nights it's interior, but a lot of it is our pick-and-roll and finding our shooters. If they're going to play the pick-and-roll a certain way or double team in the post, our shooters are going to have wide-open shots, and we have some of the best in the league.

 He played like I saw him play in the summer league and the fall league. He was just relaxing and letting the game come to him.

 We're happy with winning the hockey game, obviously, but we know we got to play better. I thought we played just well enough to win. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. We certainly can't play Wednesday the way we have the last couple nights.
