This was a big gezegde

 This was a big deal. I think we underestimated them last year. We knew what to expect from them this time.

 I knew the situation. You knew where they were going with all the trades, so I kind of figured I was going to go to a one-year deal, which is fine with me. Everybody wants that 'A-Rod' 10-year, $25 million deal but you have to deal with circumstances. I'm just definitely excited to make more than $375,000 (his 2005 salary).

 The first time we weren't really prepared. We definitely underestimated them as a team, and we shouldn't have done that. The next time we knew if we didn't come out strong, it would be another battle.

 Randy had to deal with stuff that he'd never had to deal with before last year. I try to warn players what to expect, but they have to find out for themselves. That's a big part of why I describe his year as uncomfortable.

 The marketing muscle that the big labels have can't be underestimated. The power of the Internet can't be underestimated. If you put the two together, they can't be underestimated.

 Its not been very difficult, I said before that this was an important deal for me so I knew it was going to take time. Peter and the manager knew this as well so we knew it was going to be a long process.

 Barring catastrophic occurrences, we expect investing to continue in this range through the rest of the year. I'd say if you have a good deal, there is probably not a better time to go out looking for money.

 Coming into my second season it was easier. They knew what to expect and I knew what to expect with them. Next year should be easier with having so many kids back.

 We believe this was the right deal at the right time. There was no other better deal that was going to come along. We knew this was going to be important, and we can't wait to get started.

 I don't think they'll want to suggest March is a done deal, but I think at the same time they'll probably want to give indications that rates remain incredibly low, and that survey data continue to point to a robust first half of the year. So I think you can expect to see some firming up of the language.

 You hate to see him go through something like this, ... and we have to go through it, so it's a tough deal. But I think we've just got to deal with it. His injury this time, they said if last year was a 10, this year is a 2. It's not nearly as bad.
