 We want this office to be a centralized system for people to go to get information about what is already available on campus.

 Remote office consolidation is a business problem that requires a holistic approach. To succeed, enterprises must choose solutions that address all data access needs of the remote office -- not just remote file access. And, once remote office data is centralized, you can't stop there. Companies need to think through how the additional data will impact their existing SAN, backup and disaster recovery, and bandwidth infrastructures in order to effectively manage the newly centralized data.

 Previously, our call center was located in a separate office with its own phone system. We've been able to reduce our costs by about $75,000 annually by moving the center to our main campus, closing our separate office and using a single, consolidated phone network.

 I didn't go into this with the underlying premise that I wanted to eliminate the idea of a centralized campus.

 There's a system internally that notifies the entire campus when a fire alarm has been pulled. The majority of the corporate center campus has been evacuated and because of this occurring after normal work hours for most people, it's been a very smooth orderly evacuation.

 It's not for profit. It's a centralized system.

 No employee would ever think of buying a laptop and bringing it to the office to do some work. But most people won't think twice about taking a USB drive they bought at Best Buy into the office, copying some financial information to it, and just walking out.

 We need to do a better job as an office of knowing what information we have and letting people know this information exists. His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence.

 I would equate the office with the campus police. There are thousands of people, and very few officers. There are 60 to 70 departments, and only five auditors.
