All we're saying is, let small business have a choice. Right now they barely have one or two choices in the small-group market. Let employers choose what they think is best.

If the government ends small business contracting programs, then the $119 billion in awards currently reported as going to small firms will go to large companies which make up only 2% of U.S. employers. Small business owners need to get on the phone or on the Internet and let their Congressional delegates know that they don't want the government to eliminate Federal programs for small business. Once these programs are gone, we will never get them back.

We believe Small Business + will quickly become a valuable resource to our community of small-business customers. We are committed to helping small businesses build connections to quickly and easily identify resources and technology partners that can support them. Resources such as Small Business +, Small Business Center and the Small Business Specialist Community are evidence of this work.

Accounting software is the first strategic business application that many small firms purchase, making it an important on-ramp for other business applications, which need to integrate with the accounting solution, and a first step towards higher end financial solutions. Intuit has long been the undisputed leader in the small business accounting space with its QuickBooks product line. But Microsoft, which has a solid base in the mid-market financials arena, wants to build volume in the small business accounting market.

Small businesses are the drivers of the U.S. economy. Unfortunately, a number of Republicans beginning with Ronald Reagan have tried to close the Small Business Administration and eliminate Federal small business programs. These politicians take advantage of the cooperative efforts of conservative think tanks such as the American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation. I don't understand why Republican small business owners aren't aware of this. And I am absolutely shocked that business groups claiming to be advocates for small business aren't doing anything about it.

What we've seen from a small-business perspective is that for businesses that have a very small bottom line, employers usually end up cutting the one or two employees who they are paying the least. Unfortunately, it is a matter of supply and demand. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection.
