 Tonight we didn't get the big hit and we had too many errors. We have to execute at the plate and on the field. I know we can. They were playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

 We didn't execute they way we had been preparing to. Basketball is about effort and execution. The effort was there at times, the execution wasn't. I just felt like we were playing not to lose instead of playing to win. We didn't stick to our game plan. We didn't play like we practiced the last week.

 We were patient at the plate. McVey was on her game and we just want to keep on playing. We have a young team and youthful players can lose focus when they're not playing.

 Right now, we're not playing very good baseball at the plate, in the field or on the mound. Against the people we're playing, we have to do a better job. We've only scored four runs in five games, and we're giving too much stuff away.

 We have had a few key errors that have allowed the other teams to score runs. We have only been outside for four games (before last Wednesday) ... so I have to believe that with more time playing on a dirt field that we will fine-tune the defense and we will eliminate those errors.

 It's rough. The kids deserved to win the way we've been playing. Tonight, we just didn't execute as well as we have been, and give credit to Groves. They played a real good game.

 They executed better today than we did. That's point blank what it comes down to. There's no excuse for us only scoring 14 points. I don't care who we're playing or where we're playing. Hey, we came down here to Jacksonville. I felt like we could have won. We should have won, but we didn't execute in the second half at all.

 I already said we're going to do all we can. You have to understand what the playing field is. With no extension in place, what are the dimensions of the field that we are playing on? So I can't really speculate or comment further than we will, hopefully, find out what the playing field is and I will assure everyone that we will do everything we can to keep those two guys here. Once again, it is a difficult time. A lot of us are uneasy. Some of us are uneasy to start with.

 Fayetteville is a great hitting team. We didn't hit our spots in the first inning and then we were scrambling after that. When you commit errors and don't execute offensively, you're going to lose like this.

 Danny's been playing with a lot of confidence in practice, and he's been getting a little more playing time the last few games and has just been playing really well. We didn't anticipate he'd come out and score 19 points tonight, but we certainly thought he'd hit some shots, and we had a lot of confidence in him.

 A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.

 We didn't help our cause tonight by the way we shot the ball. When you're playing the No. 6 team in the nation you've got to shoot better than 25 percent from the field.

 We hit the ball well, and I was extremely happy with our intensity at the plate. Playing good defense and not making any errors was a real big thing for us.

 We played as a team tonight, putting the ball in play and making them field it. Errors had been beating us, and tonight it didn't. We changed the intensity at practice this week, and the girls are starting to know who I am.

 It feels good. From the get-go, we knew we could beat these guys. The story all year has been us not playing up to our potential, not playing as well as we can. When we do that, we lose, and that happened a lot earlier in the season. We've learned that we have to come out with the kind of intensity we had tonight every night.

 I think we kind of quit playing to win and (started) playing not to lose. We had it going. We just didn't finish it off. It's a game we let go.
