 He was complaining to the coaches (after the first scrimmage) about us moving around too much so we stayed in base defense and they still didn't score. We created the turnovers and fumbles again.  Elyse has great setting range. Her defense has really improved. Haley brings a lot of fire to the court. She plays at a very high level. Stephanie can really put the ball down hard.  It's going to be a great challenging game for both teams. They are a great defensive team, but the reason we had some success in Minnesota was because of offensive ball movement and player movement. They want to lock you down on one side of the floor. If you can get the defense moving, you can have some success against them.

 I think part of that is because we're trying to push the ball a little more. But by doing that we're giving up more easy baskets than by just walking the ball up the court. I think this time around everyone else's offense has gotten a lot better. They're clicking a little more. But we haven't really played that great of defense the last four games. We've got to get back to the basics.

 We were holding the ball and giving the defense a break. We were giving the defense a chance to beat you. Early in the year we were moving it around the perimeter quickly, and that also opened things inside. So we have to move more and move the ball more.

 I'd take that every game this season. I thought we played defense really well at times and not so well at others. There is still room for a lot of improvement on that side of the ball.

 To get that win and get some more momentum back on our side was huge for our team. We were moving the ball, and we were taking the pressure off our defense. Offensively, we were able to do some things. There were still some mistakes, penalties hurt us a little bit. But that's all stuff we can fix easily. Overall, I think we're improving offensively, and the defense is still doing what they always do.
