 This was not an easy decision and we're sorry for the late notice. Once we finish up the recordings of record number two the full Dresden Dolls experience will be back out on the road.

 All of The Dresden Dolls upcoming scheduled appearances at European Festivals have been cancelled.

 I hit everything so hard this year. I had the biggest tour I've ever done, I had a record to finish that was real important to me, and, of course, I had something new in my personal life, and I was trying to do that, too. It really ended up being too much. At some point, I just got exhausted. I'd go from the road to the studio and back to the road, and it was that cycle all summer.

 I've had this tape for years and years, ... This was done exactly as we would do the show, on one track with no overdubs. The only thing added was the applause. Juan was very, very particular when it came to recordings. I don't think he would have wanted to record in a nightclub. He never made any actual live recordings. This is it.

 Martin was the catalyst ... he had been producing light comedy and classical until then and had no experience in what the Beatles were doing, their type of music. I think it ended up a good thing. ... Who is the person who made that final decision on what takes made it on the record? In large part, George Martin. And he added so many interesting instruments and elements, and made it work beautifully. ... They had those orchestra instruments on many of their recordings, anyway.

 It's our next experience, exactly. One of our biggest goals this season was playing well on the road. We had the best road record in the East and now we want to show up on the road in the playoffs as well.

 I know this was obviously before your time but, way back when, recordings were done on these things called vinyl records. We, in the industry, use to call these recordings '45's'.

 People who like dolls enough to spend about $700 on a doll are a small community, and we like to share our common interest. We like to get together and play with each other's dolls, see other kinds of dolls and meet them because they are fascinating, and it kind of shows you something about that person that you wouldn't see otherwise.

 We decided to go for the easy jump, because I had the impression that the harder double full-full-full won't impress the judges for higher scores. I think we made the right decision.

 Before that, plastic was a synonym of bad products. From the Middle Ages on, dolls were given infant characteristics. Before that they had adult features. Barbie brought back dolls with women's faces.

 The decision on the make-up of the fast bowling quartet was not an easy one, given that we are without McGrath. We wanted a blend of pace, youth, experience and line and length and believe we have all of these covered with our selection. Tait is coming back from a shoulder injury and he's bowling at full pace so we're happy that the injury isn't hampering his bowling.

 Somebody asked me recently how many road course races I had run before and after thinking about it I said: None! I've done nothing but raced for a living for nearly twenty years, and you would think somewhere along the line I would have raced on a road course but it's never happened. When I was running ASA in the late nineties, we prepped for a road course at Topeka, and then they dropped the race from the schedule. Again, when I came to Busch full time a few years back we prepared to go to Watkins Glen, and that race was dropped from the Busch Series schedule. I guess the third time is a charm. I finally get to go road racing! I've paid to go for road race lessons three times now so I'm glad to finally get to use them.
