 I didn't know, ... I'm real excited because I didn't get a chance to play during the preseason. I don't even know what to say.

 That's why they call it the preseason. These guys didn't get a chance to play a whole lot last year. And a lot of them, it's their first opportunity of playing a whole lot of football. I don't look at it as a negative. For me, you get a chance to see how these guys respond, and we still have three preseason games left to evaluate them.

 Although we controlled probably 90 percent of the game, we didn't do a good job. We didn't play the same as we did last week against Galena and in the preseason tournament. We didn't play the way we're supposed to play.

 We fell one game short (last year). A lot of guys are focused, real hungry. Things didn’t go particularly the way we wanted in the preseason, but you don’t game-plan in the preseason. Our whole focus now is Tennessee.

 We didn't adjust. We didn't move our feet. We didn't play real smart on the power play. We played into the strong checking hands of the Swiss. We tried to adjust and we talked about it, but we didn't do a very good job. We have talent, but it's only one part of this whole thing. If we don't learn from that, we'll be going home early.

 I didn't feel this way after Tennessee. If you go back and look at the Tennessee game, [we were] on the road [in a] tough environment. We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

 A lot of people say I play with a chip on my shoulder, ... I don't have a chip. I'm in the NFL; there's no chip. I'm just excited to be playing, and excited to get the chance I've been given here. And I want to keep making the guys who gave me a chance look good, and the people who didn't look bad. I do relish that, but I've been proving people wrong for a long time.

 We've had two great weeks of practice. We're very excited about tonight's game. We're excited about an opportunity to beat a ranked team. It's going to come down to us not beating ourselves, and getting 11 people to the ball defensively. Last year, we didn't play real well [against North Central].

 The one chance I got to play them down there we didn't do well at all. But we did play well against them when they came up here. It's a bum ride, I didn't get to play any of my senior year back in California. But that's not something I could control. But we do play at Arizona, that's close enough for my family to drive to.

 We didn't play too well. Our big thing is we didn't field the ball real well today. We gave them extra outs and we left some on and didn't get the big hits.

 These guys are excited about winning. They're excited about playing and pulling for each other. We didn't have that two weeks ago. We didn't have all our players (because of injury). Now we have a little bit of an idea of when our guys will play. Before it was potluck.

 We're doing some significant things different on offense, but there is enough carry-over that it didn't phase him. It's just one game, but he was just so excited to get out there and have a chance to play quarterback again.

 We didn't play real well on offense (at Colerain), especially in the second half. Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. We'd make a play and pick up seven yards, and then we'd lose five yards, or get a penalty. I am not going to make excuses, we just didn't play well enough to win, and we had opportunities to try and win the game and we didn't take advantage of them.
