The realization now is that the economy really is starting to slow down. And we've had figures from certain industries that would indicate that. And so therefore, investors are trying to put their money where gains in growth and earnings will take place, even in a slower economy. The areas that I think have been benefiting, and I think will continue to benefit, are the financial and health care sectors because that has been a traditional growth area. Before, growth was reliant on the life support of external demand. Japan is moving back to a more normal economy, where domestic demand is the biggest driver.

If growth in the U.S. slows significantly, all of Asia's exporters will feel it.
