 For me, this new album represents his best collection of material in a long time. All of his records have elements of his immense talent as a singer, a writer, and a player, but on this one, it really all comes together.

 I remember loving that album. Frampton took me into the studio and played me that album and I thought it was the greatest party album that I'd heard in a long time, and so I wrote the liner notes and the album became huge.

 They should be the runaway favorite. They have the best collection of talent I've seen in this town in a long, long time. I think they definitely have a chance to do that (place in the state's top 10) if everything goes right for them.

 I'm not a fast writer and I usually have a couple of things stockpiled by this time so, yeah, (I'm) wondering a little bit how long it's going to take me to come up with material for another record. But also, you just can't worry about that.

 Having gone through a period of making solo records and performing with just one other guy, Mark Spencer, I really missed the idea of playing in a group dynamic.  I think the box set represents the four top creative years of his life. It shows that growth pattern and shows behind-the-scenes little things that he was doing in creating those records and (is a) sort of wonderful window into the mind of the man who to me was the greatest guitar player of all time.

 Bob Dylan is quite a songwriter, and a great singer and musician. I won't bother with comparing myself to him, but I will say that I heard his records at a very young age and I still listen to all his records.

 The second album will be different I think. We've already got more than ten songs, because we've been writing for a long time. The last song that went on the (first) album - 'You Probably Couldn't See For The Lights But You Were Looking Straight At Me' - was written last May.

 Both men and women have masculine and feminine elements. We've just been concentrating on the masculine elements in jazz coming out for too long. It's time for feminine elements to emerge.
