 In 15 years with Knox football this is the first night game for me. I've asked everyone I can think of at the college and they can't ever remember playing a night game.

 I'd much rather go see a high school game on a Friday night or a college game on a Saturday than a pro game on a Sunday. These kids do it because they enjoy the game of football.

 We got our night game, but not on Saturday night. We'll have to be like the football players and focus. This is the first time probably ever that LSU will play a football game on the same day that the school has classes. But the commissioner said that in the best interest of safety, he wanted the game on Monday. He wasn't sure how much the winds will have subsided by Sunday.

 I always, always hated it, ... but I was always the only kid on the team who could do it. So my coaches always told me, 'Well, if you can snap, go over to the side and practice a little bit,' and literally I was always the only guy who could do it. So I did it in pee wee, midget, junior high school, high school, college. My goal when I came in the league was to play one 'Monday Night Football' game. Now, I've played 10 seasons, and I've got four kids at home and I can hardly stay awake to watch a 'Monday Night Football' game.

 Yes, we've got a few Scotland internationals who play regularly but their last game was still in front of just 1,500 people, ... So, OK, you're playing international football against decent players but European football is about the night, the occasion, the passion, the noise, the expectation, the knotted stomach before the game, so that's the experience you need, not necessarily just playing in front of 1,500 in an under-21 game.

 I have always hoped to have the opportunity to come back to Knox and I am honored that Knox has given me the chance to do so. My family and I are excited to be part of Knox College and look forward to being there for many years to come.

 The thing about Brett is he is such a talent and such a competitor that he is going to do everything within the framework of an offense -- and sometimes out of it -- to win a game, especially on a Monday night. I can't remember the last time he had a bad Monday night game. You are going to have to force him to have a bad game in the national spotlight.

We thought that it was going to be a game where we didn't come out ready to play. We didn't get home until 11 last night. The table was set for us to have an off night.

 For me, Monday night still is the big night for football in the NFL. It's the last football game of the week and it's a showcase for all the players.

 I know playing in the Big East, every night you're going to have to come out and compete. There's not one game that you can come out here and lollygag. You got to be on your 'A' game every night, because if you're not you can mess around and get crushed.

 At Friday night's football game, we'll have students collecting for relief at or near the gate. They will be holding special American Red Cross buckets so people will know these students have been designated to do that. Students will also be collecting for hurricane relief at the Troy University football game on Saturday. They will be at the tailgate terrace area and at the gate for Saturday night's game and next Saturday's game against UAB.

 I support the Celtic football team, which was in the semi-final for the European cup, and it was the first time they've been in for many years. I went to the game the night before in Glasgow with all my crazy Glaswegian friends who screamed at the top of their lungs the whole night, and I had to sit there and clap to protect my voice because I was singing for Andrew Lloyd Webber the next day in London.

 It is a non-region game, but it's still a very important football game. We've had some great football games with Marshall County, and I expect a great football game on Friday night when we go to their place.
