Governor Blagojevich and the gezegde

 Governor Blagojevich and the keno controversy trumped Naperville by one day. We will be in court Wednesday against the Naperville Debate group. The keno case is on its way and the debate litigation is on deck for filing.

 Keno has been getting better and better every week. Keno got burned a couple times early (against Hass and Oregon State), but Keno came back and made two really nice breakups over the middle and had a couple big hits.

 What we're talking about here isn't keno for the sake of keno. It's keno for the sake of school construction. We have a very specific need out there. We have schools that in some cases are deteriorating and crumbling that need our help. This is the way to pay for it.

 The debate over should oil be at $60 or $80 is like a debate over rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

 Certainly there is debate about what constitutes drought and the beginning and ending of a drought. But I wouldn't characterize it as a controversy, just honest discussion and debate.

 The discussion had turned into a very one-sided debate. Our group was formed to balance out the debate and provide some reason.

 With this case I would have been shocked if they (MasterCard) hadn't appealed. This is a market where there's been litigation all over the world and there are very few countries where there's a settled debate about that.

 We think that keno is a non-starter. We think it puts gambling in areas where it's not already available.

 The logistics of pulling one off coupled with the short time left before the moment of truth has trumped the desire to debate further.

 I'd bet 99 percent of the people in Naperville probably never heard of us.

 We knew that we could win this tonight. We're trying to go 7-0 to end the (DVC) season. We really want to go after Naperville Central.

 That's part of the reason we appreciate Naperville so much, ... Certainly as a family -- because we have seen some of the other areas.

We like to think of New York as the nation's most cosmopolitan city, a place in which the independence and freedom and values of art and culture are not questioned by anybody, [as if] that debate is over. But that debate is never really over, and Ground Zero is the perfect way to bring that debate back to the fore, even in New York.

 Keno could be done in-house by Department of Revenue and the lottery. There is no legislative approval needed.
