[Webb] threw a great gezegde

 [Webb] threw a great game. What can you say? We were beating the ball into the ground all night.

 He just kept the ball down all day. [He] got a lot of ground balls. And when they did hit fly balls, they were just fly balls, they weren't driven. He threw a great game, kept the ball down, [and] had a good tempo. [It] was fun to catch tonight.

 He was doing a great job. We were just hitting the ball into the ground. I wouldn't say we were beating it.

 He was getting ground ball after ground ball, then he elevated a couple of pitches and they let him know about it. I thought he threw the ball good when he had the location he needed.

 I've been feeling great. I can't say that enough. I felt great throwing the ball. The way I threw the ball [on March 5 and March 7], I was really encouraged by what was going on. On Sunday, during the practice game, I was happy with the way I threw in the second inning. Everything was headed in the right direction to where I wanted to be.

 Last year we didn't have the most explosive start.  It bothers me that a kid throws the ball so well out there for that long and not get the perfect game. She threw a great ball game.

 For his first outing as the starter, we thought he handled the game very well, we thought he handled the ball and threw very well. He threw over 60 percent and had only two drops, which was a positive. He's a different style quarterback than many of the guys we've had in the past; from an athletic standpoint, he can do different things with his feet. Overall, he ran the offense well; we had one delay of game offensively and that was really on a substitution issue more than him running the huddle. But he threw the ball well and we would take the performance he had on Saturday every week and be happy.

 Incredible, I mean he threw the ball great, kept the ball down and obviously swung the bat well. He did everything and more to help himself and pitched a great game.

 The first one I threw [to Jacobs], it didn't feel right. The next one I threw really grabbed me. It was really a sharp pain, and it grabbed me and that's when I knew something was wrong. I felt great all night. I walked too many guys, but I felt that I was getting my arm strength back. The ball was coming out of my hand, but something happened. I don't know what it is. I won't know until I get an MRI and see what the results are.

 It was nice. But the most pleasing thing about it was the way our pitchers threw the ball. Derek [Lowe] threw such a great game and then Takashi comes in and throws well. But that was a devastating blow. Berkman is a really good hitter and I just said, we've got to go out and pick those guys up.
