 I think, by talking to the doctor, that he will be fine and he feels good. We will see when he gets up here and starts doing work.

 Even though it might be game five, six, somewhere in that area, I think that gives him enough time (to return), unless there are setbacks. We don't know. We think in talking with the doctor he'll be fine. He feels good. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. We'll see when he gets up here and he starts doing some of the work.

 We'll evaluate that workout and we'll make a judgement from there whether he's coming or he needs more time. Talking to Ed, comparing it to the last time, he wanted to nip it in the bud and that's why he sought the treatment as quickly as he did. He feels that he's going to be fine, but he's also not the doctor either, but I guess he knows himself pretty well and he feels he'll have the one workout and then come and join us. That will still be a medical and personal decision.

 I'm not missing any starts. If I was going to miss a start, it would've been (Sunday). I know my body. It feels fine. There will be no controversy over this.

 All along I felt he would be fine. I didn't want to push the panic button because I speak to him every day and know how he feels. I had no doubt. It was just good to see him out there and getting his work in. He got through with flying colors, which is good.

 It starts the healing process when there has been an outcome that was not anticipated. It allows the doctor to show his grief and that he feels very badly about it. It allows him to explain the conditions that led to the undesirable outcome.

 There's no meetings going on. Just walking around talking to everybody like I normally do. We just have to weather the storm, and as this starts to dissipate, we'll be fine.

 It looks like his stamina's there and his finger feels good. He threw some good sliders tonight. He used all his pitches and that's an indication that his hand feels fine.

 Jamie was fine. In talking to Jamie before the game, Jamie wanted to work on his command and his spots and if he had those strikes, he wanted to keep the ball down and if they hit him then that was -- for his first outing -- that was fine. And they did, but they hit them at people so that was good.

 After talking to him and talking to our medical people, it's something that's just time and it's a day-to-day situation. There's nothing broken or pulled and he looks good and feels good other than [his ribs].

 I just talked to him, ... he said he feels fine. It's going to be a long road for him, but he feels good.

 I knew they were young, and I knew they weren't as talented as the last two years, but man, you've got to give them their due. Two-time defending state champs, it just feels good. It feels good. But our work's not over and the girls have to understand that. Feel good tonight and come ready to work tomorrow. This was a big hurdle for us.

 It feels good; it feels fine. This is more preventative stuff than anything.

 He'll work his way over to us. I'm not sure how much he'll need once he starts playing. I think he'll have to put the mask on once or twice just to see how it feels.

 If a test is (positive), then they obviously go in to the doctor to have further evaluation. If everything is fine, then you don't have to waste half a day going to the stupid doctor.
