I was excited I gezegde

I was excited I could have James' back today. When he went down, I really wanted to go out there and get it for him.

I was just excited that I could have James' back today, like he had mine in San Diego.

When he was little, I made sure my son, Aaron, met James and listened to our conversations. I wanted Aaron to be around James. Personally, I wouldn't be who I am today without James. He elevated himself and everyone around him. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. Even as coaches, he elevated us. He tried to walk a straight line in a crooked world.

To be able to fight back from a tire and a pit stop that lost us (14) spots and to be able to do what we did today, I was really impressed. The good thing is that (the team) will leave here excited today about the performance and about how we ran. They're not going to be excited by how we finished, obviously, but we'll look past that and see the big picture.

James Franklin is a bright and accomplished young offensive mind. He is hardworking, intense and creative and clearly fits the mold of what we are looking for here at Kansas State. As important as anything, though, James is a man of integrity and I am very excited to announce his addition to our staff.

Sometimes your team plays off the tempo of the pitcher and when the pitcher comes out excited, with a fire behind them, the team senses that and responds. All three of our pitchers were hitting their spots today. Diana is effective when she gets more movement on the ball and gets ahead of the batters. She came out ready to go and did that today. Then Mel came out and did her job as well. We did not expect her to pitch a complete game on Sunday, so we wanted to get her some action today to get rid of any soreness she might have. We also wanted to get Brooke some more innings in before the weekend.

We had an awesome day. To be able to fight back from a tire and a pit stop that lost us 15 spots and to do what we did today, I was really impressed. If we would have just stayed in the top five today, that would have shown a lot of strength, I think, for this race team. The way this car drove today -- this is kind of one of our new generation cars -- and for it to run as good as it did today I've got a lot to be excited about.

We win and yet we still lose, because we don't have him back. The world will know that James Byrd Jr. has lived on this Earth ... but he never wanted it to be this way.

Sure, it's important. If you can't win at home, where can you win? It's the proverbial 12th man. You've got to get people excited about coming to Raymond James Stadium. It's been a while. ... It used to be when you came here, you expected a tough game. We've got to get back to that for sure.

We're very pleased to have James returning to the Auburn Family. He is an outstanding coach with a tremendous amount of knowledge and passion for the game of football. Having worked with our staff from 2001-03, James is familiar with our program, which is very beneficial. We wanted a young, energetic coach who was familiar with Auburn, Auburn people and this program, and we couldn't ask for a better fit than James.

We're excited about having everyone back on campus. There were no surprises for us. Everyone reported and showed up on time. We're excited about the prospects as we get to work today to start following up our 2005 season with even more success.

James probably doesn't know this, but he's inspired us. We have all learned so much from James. Facing adversity, coming back and just putting everything in perspective. People can easily get down, especially about the smallest things.

We'll take a long, hard look at everything. I'm excited about David being back and getting him healthy. We'll have a healthy James Thrash and we'll have Taylor [Jacobs]. Then we'll move forward and see what the best decision is that we can make in each one of those areas.

I wanted to come back and they wanted to have me, so it was really a no-brainer to come back here. I love this city, I love playing here and I'm just excited.

The work of Henry James has always seemed divisible by a simple dynastic arrangement into three reigns: James I, James II, and the Old Pretender.
