 To have this full story unfold onstage at the Keith-Albee by the Tchaikovsky Ballet Company is going to be a great spectacle for those who are dance lovers, from kids to adults.  The music that we used couldn't be (sped up or slowed down) and the song had to be one that was currently a part of the show's countdown. Even the number of guys that were allowed to dance onstage was scaled down - eight guys actually danced, but 19 traveled.

 The beauty of Janice?s gift was that there were no restrictions. But we, in a sense, created a restriction because we wanted to honor her for this quite amazing gift. But not just buying a new set of orchestra chairs but by creating an event that would honor her gift and put the Missouri Symphony Orchestra on the map, above and beyond having a great summer music festival, and see where it goes from here.

 I think it's Harris Ferris who made the difference. His vision is that what makes a successful ballet company is the cohesion of music and dance.

 I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and as far as my exposure to theatre, my mom is a ballet director, and she has her own ballet company down there. I started, I think, when I was four when I went onstage for the first time as Fritz in The Nutcracker. That's how it started with me.

 My sister works in an inner-city school in Greenville, South Carolina, and she brought many of her at-risk kids to our show yesterday to the sound-check. It was amazing how these kids opened up with music. Music teaches so much about focus and concentration and group dynamics and appreciation for subtlety and beauty. And that's being taken away from schools.

 I'm so happy to be able to give kids the opportunity to learn about amazing world of dance and music that I've have been lucky enough to make such a big part of my own life.

We use jazz, ballet, lyrical hip-hop . . . We use all kinds of dance to tell our story, which I think keeps it interesting. There's something for every age. Anyone would enjoy it.

 This is a hugely enjoyable dance- spectacular, perfect for ballet lovers of all ages.
