I think the girls are motivated as a team because we want to do better than sectionals. We want to actually make it to the state. We made it to the top eight last year, so the main goal is to make it to the top four as a team.

We have a really strong men's team. We've got a lot of talent and depth on this team and our main goal this year is to make it to state championships.

This is a young team. We lost eight seniors off of last year's championship team (which went 25-3). We have a lot of young girls playing. At this point, the main thing is to make it to the state tournament.

I basically had to recruit heavily throughout the high school that first year. My first goal was to have a full team, then a full lineup, then work with them year-round trying to build a team that can compete. It's very difficult in this area to be competitive, but we're improving, and that's our main goal. Coaching is about reaching the kids and getting them motivated.

Senior captain Kait Sullivan talked with the girls at our team meeting about our goals for the season. Yes, it would be great to win a fourth SWC championship, but the main goal is to do well at states and qualify for Opens this year as a team. I try not to look at it that way. I wish Ray was out there with us. But all so far this year I've been trying to establish myself in second team so it really doesn't make any difference. I just know when I'm in there now I'm going 110 (percent), giving all I've got.. .. I'm more motivated than ever, I'm more motivated than anything else to do the job when I get in there.

When Brad Tipple and I came here, we had the goal in mind to make it a top caliber team. Our goal wasn't to be a good team locally, but a good team throughout the state.

We wrestled hard with a similar intensity level as Saturday at sectionals. This has been a focus of ours all season, to win and make it to the state duals. We were hoping for a better draw. Louisiana-Muscatine was a team we faced in 2004 and, of any team we wrestled, they scored the most points against us.

Hopefully, next year, Sabrina will make the team. If she puts her all into practice, I believe she will make the team as she has the ability. My goal is to have the two of them playing with me for Barbados.

It's huge. Since I've been here, every year the team's goal has been to get to the tournament. This year's team had a goal to win the region championship. They were the first ones that had the confidence to make that a goal.

I want to make the next World Championships team. You make it once, you always want to make it again. That's just a goal that I have in mind, that I'm going to stay focused and try to make the team. (Then) hopefully be in Beijing.

My main goal coming into this job is to just make a smooth transition that is as seamless as possible. The only thing I might change in our format is the development of a balanced team. We may not always have the superstars like we had scoring most of the points last year.

I got here, my main goal was just to make the team. And after that it just raised the bar.
