 We call upon the state party to retract that poll and to apologize to the leadership of the Republican Party and to Jim Petro for what was attempted this past Saturday. At best, their poll was an exercise in sloppy research; at worst, it was a deliberate effort to mislead the State Central Committee.

 It's not only the largest, in our opinion it's the most important and most significant campaign in Louisiana due to the research we have conducted that revealed to us that people have misconceptions about Louisiana after the storm.

 There's a reason why the American public in poll after poll trusts this president more in fighting the war on terrorism than they do John Kerry. That's been true day after day after day in this campaign.

 We will do everything we can to make his campaign successful. He's going to be the energy and the light for our party in northern Kentucky.
