 I had a really bad start in the super-G and downhill, and I didn't expect to be up there. The Olympics are really what I'm counting on.

 The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

 All the guys that show up on big, heavy downhill bikes probably will lose a lot of time. Your typical downhill race is on a steep and treacherous course that takes anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes. Super Downhill is a lot more fitness-based. These races are 10 to 25 minutes long. Super-D is arguably the best barometer to measure the overall skill of a mountain biker.

 I had a perfect setup with my skis for me. I am very satisfied. I had a great start to the season, winning the giant slalom and super-G and now the downhill. This is perfect timing. It was important to win here. It is a demanding and high-speed course and for my downhill confidence it was very important.

 All of the Steamboat athletes moved up from their start positions in both the downhill and super-G.

 Steamboat's strength is not downhill, for lack of experience, but our athletes skied very well in the event.  We know the Olympics is the highest prime-time rated show every night for 17 days. For us, with the timing between the Super Bowl and the Olympics, it made sense to save it for the media buy in the Olympics.

 They've lost a lot of games this season. When things start going downhill, it seems like it's going downhill quickly. We just had to take advantage of that in the fourth quarter.

 The combined really needs to change format. We've had some super combined (consisting of one downhill and one slalom run) on the World Cup. That's a pretty good format. Or make the downhill longer and more difficult.

 You have to quit counting, man. I'm serious, you have to quit counting. We have to start at the next one. If we keep counting, it will keep compounding and growing, just like when you're in a slump.

 This is great. I've scored 360 points in one week. I didn't do so well in the downhill today so I must still decide if I will race in the big downhill tomorrow.

 He's one of our guys who we expect to play better. He's one of our leaders and best players. So we're counting on Levi, just like we're counting on (right tackle) Willie (Anderson) on the other side. They're part of the reason why we believe we're a good offensive football team.

 We're counting on him. We're expecting him to start, play well, we expect him to make some calls back there and to make some plays on the ball. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.
