 There have been no new refineries built in the United States for the last 30 years, and I don't expect there will be more built in this country just because of the not-in-my-backyard mentality.

 In any New Zealand town, even small country towns, you will find at least one Art Deco house. These were not built by intellectuals using an avant-garde architect as you might have found in the United States. These were built by builders using handbooks for young married couples who didn't have any intellectual pretensions at all.

 As no new refinery has been built in the United States since 1976, the construction of new refineries constitute a giant leap forward toward greater energy independence.

 The history that's going to be revealed when this book is published is going to shake up the maritime world. I've discovered several West-Coast-built ships that were the first of their kind to be built anywhere in the world. I've also discovered the last clipper ship built in the United States, and possibly the fastest clipper ship ever built.

 Those countries buying U.S.-built fighters usually arm them with U.S.-built weapons, although there are exceptions, MBDA is aiming to have its air-to-air missiles integrated with the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), which is being developed by the United States, to lessen this advantage.
