Last year, a lot of the games we loss were due to our youth. We've worked on the mental aspects of the game. A lot of the mistakes and inability to come through with the big hit when we needed had to with maturity.

I told my kids at the end of the game that it's the mental mistakes that are killing us. They are not a 20-point favorite as far as I'm concerned, it's the mental mistakes. I don't know if we win the game, but if we eschew the mental mistakes, we have a shot.

Out of the three games, one game we did not play well, ... The other two games we played well but we made mistakes that we paid for. As the year has gone, we have jelled and mistakes have lessened. The results are better.

All year we've performed and recovered well physically. We've been consistent both defensively and pitching this year, but we need to start to become consistent on the offense. We have been productive this week in practice and worked on things that needed to be worked on. Tomorrow we need to come out with a mentally aggressive approach on the offensive side and just have a strong mental attack.

I'm not sure they were mental mistakes as much as just mistakes. I guess it wasn't our day that way. You can't make the mistakes we made and expect to win the game against a good team like this.
