 All I've been doing recently is trying to figure it out with my teachers and get caught up and get ahead. Whatever I can do to make sure I'm not taking the finals without having any sort of knowledge of what they're on. I'm doing a lot of teacher meetings right now.

 For some of the newer teachers, the transition is natural. But ... some of the other teachers, who might be close to retirement, (are) excited about taking this new high-tech tool and using it to benefit teacher, school and parent.

 For now, he's been caught up in the whole whirlwind of events, ... I think as things sort out a little more his hand may be strengthened?now he's the main figure, the unifying figure.

 Teachers make a difference, and we would serve our students better by focusing on attracting and retaining the quality teachers by raising teacher pay.

 Our teacher education system is not geared up for producing these teachers. We need to figure out some incentives.

 We decided that we would most definitely unite every single teacher in Texas. Those teachers' families and friends and see if we could get them all in an agreement as to what we needed to do, and teachers will make a difference in the next state election.

 No. 1 is dealing with their teachers; they feel like say a teacher is wrong - no one wants to believe them or that the teacher is always right. We teach them that the teacher might not always be right, but that isn't a battle that you can win by getting up and acting out in class.

 Being that they major in history, if they wanted to be teachers, they could use their knowledge from taking these tours to make other students more excited about history.

 What I like about this group is that they all feel they can come in and make an impact. They know they've got to get caught up in the system and move ahead with their strength and speed and knowledge. But this class is spread so evenly in all areas that they all feel they will have that opportunity to come in and compete.

 Everyone had a teacher that really impressed them. They'll always remember that teacher, and she was that teacher for me. She is what teachers should be.

 This is put together for the teacher that's pretty new at this. Most teachers aren't really comfortable teaching sex-ed, so we wanted to come up with a five-day lesson for that kind of teacher. The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness.

 We will have to hire another 800 teachers in the next five years to meet the letter of the law. We're already facing a teacher shortage. I would rather have a quality teacher in front of 30 students than a substandard teacher in front of 15 students.

 There are many teachers who could ruin you. Before you know it you could be a pale copy of this teacher or that teacher. You have to evolve on your own.

 It took us about six months to make the figure and when we came up with the idea to do her, we knew the timing would be right around Presidents Week. So it was just sort of a natural relationship, to have some fun with the figure.

 There are better ways of doing things than to just implement it on us. It hurt a lot of teachers that we couldn't compromise. For every one bad teacher you get several good ones. We don't want the collective bargaining changed for one bad teacher.
