 I think we realized that we blew a game last night (against Richland Northeast) we should have had. The girls were more focused tonight and we didn't turn the ball over late like we did against the Cavaliers.

 We just didn't hit the ball tonight. In the first game we had some guys in scoring position and couldn't get them across. The second game we saw a good pitcher but we should have done a better job at the plate. In the first game we needed hits and we just put the ball in play. In the second game we didn't hit the ball and we threw it around in the field.

 The important thing was the result for us. We were focused and determined and it was a big game for us tonight. We didn't pass the ball particularly well and lacked a bit of composure, we should have hurt them more.

 You've got to tweak your game to the rule changes. Now it's a flag if you turn into a guy while trying to make a play. It didn't used to be that way. I got flagged one time for turning my head.  To be perfectly honest, no knock on my girls, just give all the credit to Lancaster. We haven't figured her out for 14 innings now. We didn't get enough lead-off hits, we didn't get enough girls in scoring position with less than two outs; we just didn't do enough things to win a softball game tonight.

 We had scouted them, and she shot the ball well in the tournament game we saw. Our kids take pride in their defense, and she didn't have many uncontested looks tonight. Our girls did a great job on her.
