 I was able to go into the building in the '80s when it was all closed and boarded up. I thought it was an incredible old building, and I was just hoping that someone would pick it up and restore it. We really wanted to put something together for the Fox.

 Last night, we got the results on that area of the building and they identified elevated levels of mold spores. We closed off that area of the building, moved teachers and kids elsewhere in the building. Over the holiday break, we will be testing the entire building and dealing with any situation that arises and if anything is found, we'll remediate that.

 We said we wanted to help, not pay the entire cost. We were there to save the cat, not restore the building.

 Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. The Wayne Building Co. owns from Main Street to the alley. We closed the (apartment) building down back in about October.

 That is a great building. I can see why he got that price. You can pick that building up and set it down in any city and it would be impressive.

 I felt like these days, people are building silos in their lives. I wanted to restore the relationships and connected-ness of a community.

 We really needed this new school building. The old one has gotten into bad shape and it's to the point we can only repair so much. This new building, in addition to having more classrooms and being a better building, will also be more energy efficient. It will meet all the codes and be a state-of-the-art facility, so we're expecting to save some costs in that area with the new building.

 The first time it happened was up at the Capitol building. I was freaked out about it. I wanted to get out of there. You go there hoping something will happen, but when it actually happens, you don't want to be there.

 He finished up pretty strong. Everything's where we thought it would be. We'll pick it up the next time and keep building on it.

 The building just has a bad history, ... We didn't know it in the beginning, so we had to bless the set to make sure it let us work in there safely. We went through this Hawaiian ritual. It was the building nobody wanted to go into.

 It went more smoothly than it did last year. We had a year to learn the routines of the building, the entrances and exits. It was less hectic than last year because parts of the building had been closed off last year.

 The difference tonight was in our building we went to the net and we never did that in Laredo. We stuck our nose in a little more and I thought they looked a little more tired than we did coming into our building.

 The building has stood empty for a long period of time and there are now shards of glass everywhere. It could be someone like my 14-year-old grandson who gets hurt. I am sure somebody has the authority to go along and get it boarded up, I cannot understand it.
