en Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

en Peter and I have been good friends for a long time and we've played a lot of golf together, in competition and otherwise. It's a relationship that has been ongoing for many, many years and once again, to have the opportunity to play as we will, it's going to be fun. I just hope I can keep him from being embarrassed by my poor golf.

en It's embarrassing not to score for (seven) games, or whatever, but it really felt good when it went in. I'm happy we tied it up and won the game. It was big for us. It got kind of annoying to not score for a long time.

en I thought the intangibles were that the Boones will get what they get but I thought Connor McGee was the difference in the ball game tonight. They earned everything they got. You score 78 points you think that will get it done but I'm happy for BEA they've been on the other side for a long time.

en Everybody played well. I'm happy for Ilya, but most importantly, it doesn't matter who is going to score as long as we are going to win.

en A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

en It's a great golf course. It's a driver's golf course. It's narrow and long so you have to hit a lot of drives. It's a good test of golf.

en We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.

en You can never be perfect, but the kids still thought they should have played better. They've come a long ways (since the start of the season) and they should be happy about breaking 400 on our course.

en I'm still a long ways away from playing really good golf. It's coming, but I'd like to put four good rounds together instead of one or two. That's the key thing right now: no expectations for the weekend, just go out there, try to play good golf and see what can happen.

en Sometimes it doesn't really matter how you win, just as long as you win. I've been playing, I would say, pretty good of late and I can be happy that we score a lot of goals. That helps.
