 I think 'Beck' coached the same way this year. One thing about 'Beck', you know he's a little bit crazy from time to time and there are some times when you have to kind of tune him out. But he knows what he's doing. His schemes have been copied all around the league. He's done a great job putting us in position to win. There's no question he's a good football coach.

 The story of Beck's is quite unusual. Normally you start your factory around selling your beer and your brand. Beck's was invented only for exporting,

 Beck did it instead of talking about it. We often thought Beck would one day become leader of the Social Democrats.

 If the fans do not know me now, they will know me after Saturday. We all have to pay our dues. Some have to pay them longer than others, but we all have to pay them. I was not just excited when I first heard that I was getting this great opportunity. I was overwhelmed. I am not concerned with anything Beck might do. I am here to come to do what I do. I am going to bring the thunder and the rain. When I hit Beck on the head, he is going to feel the pain.

 Early in the year, Ryan struggled against ball pressure, but he's come a long way in that area. Ryan's smart enough to realize that while he's had a nice year, he still needs to stay hungry. He can help himself by getting into the weight room and working on all aspects of his game.

 We knew what they were going to do in the last set, so we switched and put Ryan Campbell on him so he couldn't get to the hole. Carlson made his move and spun back to find Campbell there. We had him locked up 15 feet from the basket and he could do nothing but kick the ball out for a forced three-pointer.

 The sheriff is treading uncharted territory. He's going to need a little assistance from some-one with knowledge in that background. We're not out to make Sheriff Beck an enemy. If you really think about it, we have Sheriff Beck to thank for all of this.

 Getting Beck was so huge for them, ... We perceived Beck as the No.1 quarterback on Nebraska's board. They told him if he comes to Nebraska they would not recruit another quarterback this season. And they haven't.

 When the B.J. Ryan thing came down and the fifth year was given, I knew that the teams that lost on B.J. were going to be in on Wagner, and that was exactly what happened. I felt that, look, let's try to get this done sooner rather than later.

 The Regis-Ryan network swap is kind of a fun dynamic and I certainly wish Ryan the best. I know Dick as well. Everyone doing these types of shows, we all know each other and we'll probably have a drink when our shows are over, somewhere in Times Square, and just salute New Year's together.

 The thing about Ryan as a player is that he was always at the right place at the right time. He was somebody who could set a defense and run a defense. Ryan's similar to the types of free agents that we've been able to sign, a young kid coming off his first contract as a starter. He was productive on a very good defense.

 Ryan Howard will have the same work habits. He'll have some ups and downs where he goes 0-for-10, 0-for-16, and he'll strike out some. But if he does the same thing he's been doing, he'll be fine. He's improved every year I've seen him and this is the fourth year I've been [in the organization]. If he keeps the same demeanor and work habits, he's going to be real good.

 They wanted to open up room for Ryan, and that's good -- Ryan Zimmerman is a great player and great prospect, ... The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. The trade will work out for me, too. I'll be in San Diego with a team that made the playoffs this year.

 But we like Ryan Nece. Jeff Gooch and Ryan have had a real competitive battle this spring and summer, so Ryan will be the starter. He's earned that in Jeff's absence.
