 That's my thing now. I usually struggle with that in Spring Training, just because my arm action is so long it takes me a while to get the ball down. But it's definitely getting there and getting stronger. I'm almost there.

 The great thing that's going to come out of this is, every game will be important. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. Spring training, you can go through the motions. Spring training is long, anyway. That's another reason why I think this is going to be good.

 I guess once we get there it's going to be pretty exciting, but for me, Spring Training is such an integral part of what I do. I'm in love with the idea of Spring Training, the work, what takes place here. For me, it's going to be interesting to see how I get my work done there.

 For me, this is getting me ready for April 3. Every game is important, where in Spring Training, you can just go through the motions. Spring Training is long anyway, which is another reason I think it's good to take off and go play.

 Munson had a nice spring training. If he continues to swing the bat like he's been doing in spring training and give us a threat, then that's a good thing.

 It was a struggle on both sides. The long ball always helps. We didn't hit particularly great and we pitched super all spring. It was the other way around today.

 You'd like to see him get three or four starts down here. You have to remember after he hardly pitched last spring he only missed one start until hit by the line drive. Maybe he's just not a spring-training guy. It'll ease everybody's mind once he gets into action.

 She's very mature and I noticed that when I was at her house meeting with college coaches. When we started practice for the spring she had already been training. She takes training really seriously.

 He's quite a bit stronger. [At worlds] he wasn't in the kind of shape he wanted to be. It takes a long time to deal with the aftermath of success like that. Now, we're consistently progressing to the level of training he did prior to Athens.

 I'm not waiting on his swing. I take that for granted. The thing is running the bases. He ran better than in spring training and in the last month of last year. At this time last year, he was limping and complaining about the knee. It's much, much better than a year ago, or in spring training.

 Honestly, everybody liked him in spring training. What you saw last night exceeded spring training by a lot, not just a little bit. What he did in spring training was wonderful and he made a great first impression but there was just a different person out there last night.

 The mini-camp gave me the opportunity to see some of my players in action long before the opening of spring training camps in Florida. I want to see some rookies who have a chance to make the team and new players we acquired through free agency.

 Forget about everything that happened in spring training. Spring training is spring training. Now it's the regular season.

 It's important to have a whole spring. I always thought spring training was too long. The last two years it was too short. I'm looking forward to going out and playing.

 Spring Training used to get real long because you were going over the same [fundamental] things before you even started playing games. You were very happy when the season started. But things are better -- the playing fields, the complexes. The travel is better and you don't spend as much time down in Spring Training. You now play teams that are not too far away from your city. It's all for the best.
