 The most important thing is to say that these trips are very dangerous. The people who bring Cubans here do it for money, not patriotism.

 Only urgent trips and trips which can bring money to the country are authorized.

 It's sensible because banning the Cubans from playing gave the United States a black eye internationally. The Cubans were gloating the Americans were afraid of the Cuban team. Castro gave a speech the other day about it. If you left the Cubans out, you'd destroy the logic of the whole thing. The Cuban team is among the best in the world.

 No question, it can bring in money for us. But the most important thing about it is it eases the transfers of tickets between the fans, and it gets people into the stadiums quickly.

 We're being sold a brand-new idea of patriotism. It never occurred to me that patriotism had to be advertised. Patriotism is something you deeply felt. You didn't have to wear it on your lapel or show it in your window or on a bumper sticker. That kind of patriotism doesn't appeal to me at all.

 Schools are just going to have to decide which field trips are important to us. If they think all field trips are important they will have to cut back in other areas.

 The universal regard for money is the one hopeful fact in our civilization. Money is the most important thing in the world. It represents health, strength, honor, generosity and beauty. Not the least of its virtues is that it destroys base people as certainly as it fortifies and dignifies noble people.

 Many people wrongly assume that the most important issue among families is money and wealth transfer -- it's not. What we found was the memories, the stories, the values were 10 times more important to people than the money.

 Education is very important to me. The lake can be the most beautiful thing, but it can be the most dangerous thing. I have two young boys and I don't want to see them get washed off the pier.
