We know how tough gezegde

 We know how tough it is in Oregon and we know both of them are very good teams. We don't expect a cakewalk at all. Neither one will be easy.

 This (Oregon program) is a little different beast than the Oregon and Oregon State teams of the early '90s.

 It is certainly tough competition. There may be some teams in the 4A that are as good as the 5A, but there are more teams in the 5A at that level. Night in, night out, it is tough. You don't get an easy game here or there like you do sometimes at the lower levels.

 The bottom line is that a 10-1 team was passed over for two 9-2 teams. I didn't think it was fair that Ohio State was rated ahead of Oregon, especially when Oregon's only loss was to USC.

 They're one of the better 3A teams in the state, so it will be a good challenge. I expect they'll be tough, like always. They have good talent and they throw a lot of different things at you.

 We have districts coming up next week and we didn't want three easy teams that we could just run over. That doesn't do anybody any good. We wanted good tough games to show us what we needed to work on.

 Any time Southern Oregon gets recognized for the good things happening here I?m pleased. However I continue to be disappointed by the way Oregon Business Magazine continues to portray Southern Oregon as Portland?s country cousin.

 It's not just because we're close in proximity. For the first time in a long time we're both battling for the playoffs in a tough division and a tough conference. When two teams, whether they're just down the highway from each other or not, are both fighting for the same spot it's going to be good, intense hockey. You should expect nothing less.

 You can?t predict this thing ... two, three, four all gone. How do you predict these things? The whole idea that No. 1 gets the easy route ... there are no easy routes. Those teams at 16 are really good, and they have incredible desire to win. By the time you get to 8-9, you?re facing really good teams.

 In those years, Oregon and Oregon State were trying to get bowl-eligible, have a winning record, crack the upper half (in Pac-10). Now, they're in the top half every year. They expect to go to bowls. They're looking at being nationally ranked.

 It looks like it's favorable, but it's not, ... Those teams have played us very well. It would be an absolute mistake for us to think this is favorable. Milwaukee's played us tough, and Pittsburgh's played us tough and the Cubs can play us tough. ... These guys will play us good, and we can not expect anything to be given to us. That's a fact.

 Oregon State has a great tradition. You've got the backing of the administration, which is key. You've also got good Oregon high school wrestling, there's a good base there.

 I think it's the only way they are going to get better. And in their defense, Georgia and Oregon State are good teams.

 A soda straw of re-entry in the middle of night at Edwards, ... There isn't any of this that is easy. Eileen made it look like a cakewalk. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor.

 I'm not just saying that to put the pressure on them. Nobody in Oregon has given them a game yet. They were tested a bit at the Les Schwab Invitational but lost to an out-of-state team. The teams they played from Oregon they beat handily. Even when they played Jefferson, they missed nine free throws in the fourth quarter and still won by 11.
