 Southern Arizona is an important market and constituency for the Arizona Lottery. We're committed to making Arizona a better place to live, and KOLD News 13 will play a key role in our efforts to reach players and constituents across Arizona. KOLD News 13's ideas and willingness to support the Arizona Lottery stood out during the selection process. We're glad to welcome our new partner into the lottery family.

 We look forward to this new relationship with the Arizona Lottery. We recognized early on that it was an excellent opportunity for all involved - us, our viewers and people that play the lottery in southern Arizona. It's a win-win all around, and we're delighted to have been selected as the local television drawing partner.

 So really, to make Arizona a better place to live, that's what we're about at the Arizona Lottery.

 When I was younger, in middle school, Arizona was the team. It was 'Arizona, Arizona, Arizona.' Me and my buddies would be in the backyard pretending to be Arizona. It's going to be a fun game.

 [Without question, my most highly contested selection was Arizona. Matt S. of Dallas provided a typical understated response by writing:] Arizona will make you eat crow! Salim will make you repent, as you bow to the great Wildcat in the sky and chant, 'There is no God but basketball, and Lute Olson is his prophet!' ... I will be e-mailing you at the end of the tournament when Arizona wins it all.

 Arizona is a wonderful place to live and we've got great weather - although it's a little warm right now - but we've got great facilities, tons of resorts and courts, and there's no reason why we shouldn't have more players coming out of Arizona.

 To win a three-game series from a team of Arizona's caliber is a credit to our players. Arizona has some outstanding pitchers and we did a nice job of putting the ball in play when we needed to.

 I don't know (what happened). I wouldn't say it was a lack of effort or we relaxed after the Arizona game. The practices we had after the Arizona game, we were focused. We all knew what we wanted. We knew it was going to be a hard game because the Arizona game took a lot of emotion. We were all ready to play, but we just couldn't get out there.

 It really doesn't help us out. We don't get any playoff points, and neither do they. I have the utmost respect for them and the program. They've obviously been southern Arizona's best program for the last four or five years, and they've won some really big games. We look at them as a marquee team in Arizona, and we'll take our best shot.

 Wouldn't it be a coincidence if someone we dug up in Arizona, and who died in 1934 and claimed to be Billy the Kid, bled on that bench? That's like winning the lottery,

 We earned last place. The team slowly eroded, and we played our worst basketball at the end of the season. The game meant something to Arizona State. They wanted it, and we didn't. We don't have the toughness to play 40 minutes, and Arizona State could have beaten us by 40.

 I'd lived in Arizona, and I loved Arizona. But I had a husband I was separated from, and a baby to support. So I moved back to New York. I used to think it was scary. I remember the first time I drove into the city, right after I got my license. All that traffic, those buildings. Oh! Scared me to death!

 Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. Jon is a bruiser, and Arizona has some bruisers. But, Arizona, I don't feel like they're that tough inside. We think Jon is going to have a great game.

 For Arizonans, there's a particular connection because it was the U.S.S. Arizona and so on December 7, we have a lot of commemorations on the day of the attack, and it's a big part of Arizona life,

 We had a positive weekend last week (against Arizona and Arizona State). We're looking to build on those performances.
