 Basically, there hasn't been a lot of motivation for companies who have databases, like Oracle and IBM, to do anything to make it easy for people to not care about databases. I'm not sure you're going to see Oracle or IBM do anything any time soon in this area because it's against their interests.

 We thank Pennsylvania State Police for everything they have done so far in the investigation of my brother's death. But we're fearful some people who have information may be withholding information because they are fearful of coming forward (to police).

 I think that people are reacting in a way to increase their privacy in response to things that are decreasing their privacy. The Internet potentially exposes information to anyone in the world. It's fundamentally different from ... 10 years ago.

 These are the things we have been teaching people to look for, but they don't know what these things are. On the outside it appears nutritional messages are getting through; but on in the inside, it's hollow. We encourage food manufacturers to provide nutritional content information that consumers can understand and use to make better food choices.

 Our study found that to truly respect consumers' privacy, companies need to incorporate privacy into every aspect of their business. From respecting consumers choices about how to market to them and using the most secure technology available, to the way that their customer service representatives manage private information and respond to questions about privacy, it must be a core component of every customer interaction.  Look how much information we lost. We went from 500 pages to 120. When you're losing information, it's the details that make things really, really, cool I think. Unfortunately, you can't make a five-hour movie.

 The community wants to have more confidence in what we're doing. It's only fair. An enrollment projection study is essential. I'd be hard pressed to make a decision about this study without that information because we've been talking about this for a long time.
