 Kevin never let a bad inning get to him. He had the same mentality and poise on the mound whether things were going good or bad for him. You knew he wasn't going to get rattled. You don't win an ERA title by giving up a lot of runs. Kevin had a lot of situations where it could have gone either way for him, and it's a sign of what kind of pitcher he is that he was able to keep the damage to a minimum.

 Kevin has never said, 'I don't like who we have, I don't like you as a coach, I don't want this coach. I've known Kevin for a while. He and I hit it off right from the start. To say there's not going to be bumps in the road - there's always going to be bumps in the road in any relationship. But it's always a matter of respect. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. Like I told him the first time I met him, if there's one player in this league that I would pay to watch play, it would be him. Because he brings it every night.

 If you take a look at longevity, Craig passed that test. Craig's strength as a college coach was to get kids to buy into his vision, and he worked that strength. He got a lot of talented players to come there.

 I've felt lucky to be able to do what I have done. I've been able to coach my two sons [Marc and Craig], plus they've been able to coach with me. That's been a high point.

 It was very important for me to get a guy to coach a guy like Kevin Glenn, who is not a marquee quarterback yet but has the potential. I took this job thinking Kevin Glenn was going to be good enough to enable us to be a winner here.

 I'm really excited about the opportunity to step in and assist the men's golf program and Press during the spring season. It is an honor that Coach Holland and Kevin (Williams) thought of me during this transition period and I will work hard to help continue the strong tradition that Kevin has established.

 This means everything to us. Coach played for (Danvers coach Kevin Flynn), and we all rallied around that.

 They have great poise and when you mix poise with balance it gives you a chance to win every night. When you're playing a team with tremendous poise you have to have that yourself. We've got to duplicate that effort and go beyond that to get a win that's needed.

 Kevin Ollie, if I ever own a team, he?s gonna be the coach. Kevin Ollie is the man. ..As a team, he makes us go. Everything he does in practice, the way he conducts himself, to the way he plays in the game -- it?s not all talent, it?s effort.

 Even some of them at school was telling them that we were going to get crushed. Our kids kept their poise. They believe in themselves.

 I just look at the seniors' faces, and you can tell that they know that it was their last game, ... I remember that feeling so well. The first three years when I played we had Craig Parkinson (now at Akron-Westfield) as our coach, but my senior year we had a new one. My coach that year was Gregg Beam.
