 In the Builder's Club, we put together shoeboxes that had different toiletries and other products and we delivered them to the homeless downtown. We'd have car washes and we'd send the money that we made to different organizations.

 Dixie Express would like to send a heartfelt thanks to all the club owners and organizations that have hired us and all the friends, fans and family members who have made it possible for the band to succeed over all these years.

 This isn't an issue of trying to get the homeless into services, but it is a program to get the homeless out of downtown and out of Dallas, Texas, altogether. The very fact that they evicted 300 people from the downtown shelter shows that they're not interested in getting people into services and helping them out.

 You can buy everything from hats and gloves made out of camel wool, sheep felted mats, new products such as tea cozies to felt juggling balls... so it brings a lot of money into the local communities and gives people money to send their kids to school

 Groups feeding the homeless at the Downtown Plaza has had unintended consequences. There are so many folks clustered in downtown - it's becoming a crisis.

 Under the old process, we would have to send the builder numerous brochures that were already obsolete by the time they opened them. Now, the builder can show their customers the latest styles with a few simple clicks of the mouse.

 All of these baskets go to families ... and this is part of our homelessness prevention. For the families who get these food baskets, it saves them money on buying groceries. They can put that money toward a bill, electricity or water. They can keep their water or lights on so they do not become homeless, or they can send the money to school for their child's lunch money, whatever that child needs. They can come here and get groceries. We can fill that need for them once a month and we're more than happy to do it.

 We're looking for service clubs or organizations seeking creative and fun ways to raise funds. If your club is new to the event, we'll guide you through the process. Your club will have the opportunity to raise a tremendous amount of money in a relatively short period.

 Our people need money, ... They need to sell their products. They need to have money to send their children to school and to start improving their daily lives.

 We raise money for different organizations. We have a lot of fun, ... We have like an alumni club.

 We have other products, oil changes, car washes. It's not necessarily a loss on gasoline, but we are willing to work at lower margins,
