 We should abstain from violence, debauchery, evil deeds, sensual-attachment, hatred, anger and ego.

 What is evil? Killing is evil, lying is evil, slandering is evil, abuse is evil, gossip is evil: envy is evil, hatred is evil, to cling to false doctrine is evil; all these things are evil. And what is the root of evil? Desire is the root of evil, illusion is the root of evil.

 Cruelty, material attachment, greed and anger are the four rivers of fire. Falling into them, one is burned, O Nanak! One is saved only by holding tight to good deeds.

 The very purpose of religion is to control yourself, not to criticize others. Rather, we must criticize ourselves. How much am I doing about my anger? About my attachment, about my hatred, about my pride, my jealousy? These are the things which we must check in daily life.

 Let him not, out of desire ,for enjoyments , attach himself to any sensual pleasures, and let him carefully obviate an excessive attachment to them, by ,reflecting on their worthlessness in his heart.

 Abstain from all appearance of evil. A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
